Sunshine Harvester Primary School is a new school which opened in September 2009. The school is formed from an amalgamation of Braybrook Primary School, Sunvale Primary School and Sunshine East Primary School. The new school was constructed on the old Sunshine East school site and the final BER building was completed in early 2011. The school buildings feature flexible, open plan learning spaces to promote meaningful collaboration between students and teachers. Our school boasts a vegetable garden and kitchen classroom, as well as our 'farm' where we students can help care for our chickens and goats.
Early in 2014, the old school oval was levelled, new drainage installed and a synthetic surface was laid. The new oval incorporates both AFL and soccer goals, and has a multi-laned running track around the perimeter. The popularity of the upgrade is evident by the number of children who are always playing on it. Along with the roof over the basketball court area which was completed in 2013, Sunshine Harvester now has some of the best facilities in the area.
